Pacific Affairs is a peer-reviewed quarterly, featuring in-depth research on the most salient issues in Asia and the Pacific today. Established in 1926 as the official newsletter for the one of the first and most prominent international NGOs, the Institute for Pacific Relations, Pacific Affairs is one of the oldest English-language academic journals on Asia and the Pacific. We have been publishing continuously since our inception, maintaining the quality of our articles while constantly improving our formats. Each issue features 4-5 refereed articles, and 40-50 book reviews covering a variety of issues ranging from politics to gender, media to environment, as they pertain to China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Australasia and the Pacific Region.
